Welcome to TADAA – thank you for considering us to teach your child. Please find below some further information as well as our terms and conditions. Please note by signing up your child for classes you are agreeing to the below t&c’s
FEES: We offer a free trial for our weekly classes. Once you sign up you will be sent an invoice for your child’s class. Invoices are issued on the 20th of the month and are due on the last day or the month. If you do not pay your invoice by the due date your child will NOT be able to attend class. If your invoice is 10 days late you will incur a £10 fee. We require 1 months notice to leave a class, your child is still welcome to attend classes during their notice period.
Should any fees be left outstanding we will send a chaser letter. Our finance team will then follow up with a chaser letter. If there is no response we will go to the small claims court to reclaim any fees owed with interest.
We do offer a sibling discount if siblings attend the same class . If your child would like to attend a class that is full we will place them on the waiting list & we will inform you as soon as a place becomes available.
CANCELLATION OF CLASSES: If any classes have to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances TADAA will ensure the fee is deducted from your invoice the following month.
PRIVACY NOTICE: TADAA reserves the right to keep on file, all students details as per their registration form, for the duration of the student’s time with us. This information will be used to inform students of TADAA related notices via email, text and letter. Once a student leaves TADAA, their details will be archived from our system for 12 months and then deleted. TADAA reserve the right to share this information within the company, to Class teachers and Chaperones as they see fit.
UNIFORM: Uniform at TADAA is optional but we do sell an array of items your child can choose from. We have logo T-shirts, hoodies, varsity jackets, leggings, shorts and water bottles. These can be purchased via our website www.tadaa.info/store
Please ensure your child comes to class in appropriate footwear (no flip flops, crocs, sliders etc) Children will not allowed to be bare foot in class. For all students who wish to be part of our showteams – TADAA T-shirts will be required.
MONITORING YOUR CHILD’S PROGRESSION: Parents will have the opportunity either every half term or every term to watch a mini performance. Each class has a WhatsApp group where we regularly post photo’s and video’s from class so you can monitor progress. TADAA staff are always available for mentoring & career advice, and you are welcome to speak to us should you want your child to have additional opportunities, private lessons, take part in exams or talk about a career in theatre. Every half term we award a star of the half term – this award is to celebrate someone who has gone above and beyond in class, a real team player who has accepted new students, been helpful, kind and supportive.
SECURITY AND CHILD PROTECTION: No child will be allowed out of the building unsupervised under the age of 18 years (unless parental permission is given in written format) All of our teachers have enhanced DBS certificates & all performances are staffed by Licensed Chaperones as per Government Legislation for Child Protection in public performance venues. We have a policy in place for Lockdown following the 2024 Southport incident which is available on our website.
PERFORMANCE: We work hard to provide performance opportunities in addition to the weekly classes as well as sending out audition information to those who are part of our showteams and those who take private lessons. Opportunities may also arise from time to time for the children to work with professional companies such as visiting shows which TADAA fully support and often get auditions for. Occasional theatre visits are also arranged as well as outings, play dates, meet ups etc
PHOTOGRAPHY, SOCIAL MEDIA & FILMING: Upon joining TADAA you will be sent a photo/video consent form. If consent is agreed to, TADAA may use these photos and videos on our website, promotional material and social media channels. We may also share photos and videos from classes on the class WhatsApp group – please let us know if you do NOT want your child to be a part of those photos or videos. Professional Headshots are taken twice a year by our photographer – please contact us for further information.
CHAPERONES: We are always looking for extra helpers especially for our annual shows and showcases. Should you wish to become a chaperone please let us know and we can direct you to the application process.
SHOWTEAM: If you put your child forward for one of our showteams or they are selected by us, there is an expectation to attend ALL rehearsals set, and to pay the additional rehearsal fee in advance. Showteams take part in events such as Portsmouth festival of performing arts, Chichester Fringe, National theatre Connections, Open Mic Nights, Victorious festival and other performances.
HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS: If you book on to a holiday workshop with us we require full payment at the time of booking. We are unable to offer a refund once a space is booked (except with a doctor or hospital medical note for injury or illness). If the workshop becomes full with a waiting list we may be able to offer your space to someone else and refund your fee minus an admin fee of 10%.
We hope you enjoy your time with us.
