Wow where has half the year gone – here at TADAA we have achieved SO much with new classes being added to the timetable, new staff members joining us and so many performances already!
The start of the year saw us enter Portsmouth Music Festival in both the speech and drama and vocal section – we had lots of first and second places and so many mentions. Our acted scene and song cast were asked to perform again after for the Lord Mayor!!!!
In March we entered a lot of students for LAMDA exams with all of our musical theatre and acting entries gaining high distinctions, and our verse and prose entries gaining distinctions and merits! We are so proud of everyone for working so hard on these.
March and April was full of parties, hosting hen do’s and performance prep ready for our Chichester Fringe performance in June. The children got a standing ovation in the prestigious Greylingwell Chapel and we are really hoping we can return to the fringe in 2024 because we had such a lovely experience.
July saw our summer show – 3 shows in one day was a mammoth task but the students absolutely smashed it! We had an incredible backstage team who made everything run smoothly and we couldn’t have done it without. We are so lucky to have our team of helpers – thank you!
As we return in September we fly straight into a fundraiser for our Winter Panto to raise funds for costumes and props. Closely followed by preparations for a top secret performance which hopefully we will be able to reveal to you very soon!
We can’t wait to see what the rest of 2023 brings it has already been so eventful but we have lots more in the pipeline… watch this space
